Yesteryear Collection

As all Scotch whisky drinkers know, there are basically two types of Scotch to choose from: single malts and blends.
When creating a blended whisky, the objective is to make a liquor that is better than its individual parts and to make that same great taste consistent from one bottle to the next. For drinkers of blended Scotch whiskies, one name comes to mind when thinking of a classic blen: Dewar's.

John Dewar was born in Perth, Scotland. In the mid 19th century, he went into the wine and spirit business. After a number of years, Dewar began creating a blended whisky. By 1923, he had operations in Aberfeldy, Lochnager, Muir of Ord and Pulteney. Two years later. Dewar's - along with the Walker and Buchanan companies - joined the Distillers Company Ltd. (DCL), which had been founded in 1877 to give distillers a protective trade cartel.

Among serious Scotch whisky drinkers, Dewar's Scotch whisky is noted for its excellent to medium clarity with medium to firm amber color. Its rich aroma has a hint of peat, smoke, hay and earth, and is certain to remind one of the Scottish Highlands.

Now, the proud heritage of Dewar's Scotch whisky is celebrated in a die-cast model of a 1910 Renault AG truck. Your handsomely decorated model is produced by - and available only from - Matchbox Collectibles.
